Project idea:


We chose to involve in this project because we found out that in each school from our partnership there are a lot of pupils with their parents working in another country from Europe, with children with disabilities or incurable disease that need from us to get involved and help them to start all over again. With the help of volunteers from each school we will offer to this children who are living on a battle field, but also to teachers, parents, etc, love, dedication, understanding, friendship, trust, respect, compassion and help. The project aims are to provide support services to children left home alone, to children with disabilities or incurable disease. This project is addressed to pupils from primary, middle school and highschool classes. The project will follow the improvement of the quality life of pupils, through emotional maturity, developing abilities in identifying and expressing emotions, of communications and developing pupils creativity. We will create three yo uth centers in each partner schools. In this centers, volunteers will conduct activities for developing life skills, socialization and increase their academic performance. Through these activities we hope to offer the courage, perseverance, self-esteem, independence and gaining the free will. Children with emotional or social problems will receive psychological counseling and material support. These services will be promoted in each school, on the project, facebook and popular activities.


Expected project outcomes/products:


The main outcomes will be the establishment of the Youth Center in each school where there will be organised and unrolled activities during and after finishing the project. During a training for 2 days, we will prepare 10 youth (for each center), in how to manage and to develop volunteer activities with the home alone children and with the ones with disabilities or incurable disease. Also, children with emotional or social problems will receive psychological counseling.


Periodically 10 pupils, 10 parents and 10 teachers will participate in training activities as resouce person. Teachers who will participate in those trainings will get to know much better their pupils and will learn how to have an efficient communication with them. Also they will support pupils in expressing their emotions and choices.


By involing pupils with adjustment problems in this project, they will addapt/ suit much better in the peer group and at the school requirements. Pupils with disabilities or with disease will be more involved and creative, more communicative and less anxious, acquiring social ways of communicating their needs. For giving an European value to this project, we will create a Travel Diary where students can write their impressions about the project meetings, activities and what they have learnt from this project.


Project implementation:


After the project result, each partner school will plan the implementation stages of the project. The partnership begins initial with the exchange of ideas between emails and completing the application form. Then, the partnership between the three schools will continue through appointments between teachers and students involved, where each person should be given special missions and responsibilities that should be made through this project. Another important fact is that our partnership will contribute to the exchange of ideas with the help of technology, more specific facebook, skype, etc. Project visits and the main activities will take place in Bratislava, Baicoi and Chisinau and responsibilities will be shared equally. The idea of this project is to offer students alternative ways of leisure, by participating at personal development activities.The activities will take place in the three Youth Centre and will be largely implemented by volunteer students, under the supervis ion of teachers. All work will be developed under different circumstances, in the partner educational institutions with the direct participation of the students. They will do research and documentation work, studies, and in teams, complete intermediates and final project. Activities may be incurred in curricular, cross-curricular and extra-curricular. Students will be involved in the design and conduct of all project activities both during and between meetings, creating ACES corner, exhibition posters, collages and paintings, photo albums, newspapers, radio news, video. They will also be directly involved in dissemination activities.The language of communication is English and the articles from newspapers, from magazines will be in the mother tangue (Slovakian, Romanian and Moldavian).
